Over the years, Leslie's restaurant has become one of the must visit restaurants in Tagaytay City.
Its recipe for success? A fine combination of GREAT authentic Filipino Food and a BREATH TAKING view.
P499.00 Bulalo Special ($11)

For those not familiar with Bulalo...
It is basically a flavorful broth of bone-in beef shank and fresh vegetables.
Simple...but AMAZING!

Leslie's Bulalo is exactly that as it combines top grade beef from Batangas along with fresh vegetables.

Result? a tender beef, fresh crisp vegetables, a hint of char from the roasting of the bone...and a very balanced, yet flavorful soup.

MUST GET if  you are in Tagaytay.
P299.00 Bistek Tagalog

So once again, I get more beef...as I AM after all...in BEEF city.

Bistek Tagalog, is beef marinated in soy sauce and calamansi (local version of a much more sour lime)

Again, the beef is very tender...but the downside is that the onions could be cooked a bit more...and the sauce was a tad bit too salty...even for Filipino food.

Not the best beef steak I had, but it did its job.

Fresh Buko Shake
I once again, take advantage of where I am, as aside from being the beef capital of the country,

Tagaytay is also known for its coconut.

One of the BEST shakes Ive had.
It was naturally sweet, creamy, and delightfully refreshing.

Taste: The food is great! nothing spectacular....but it IS THE place to go for authentic Filipino food.

Value for Money: expect to spend at least Php 500.00 (8-9$) on each dish, but the servings are HUGE!

Ambiance: Fantastic ambiance as it combines a great view, singing waiters, and a natural interior design that screams out Filipino.

Recommendation: Because of the size of the servings, view, and ambiance, I would say it is PERFECT for company outings and family lunch/dinners.

I made the mistake of taking my date here, as almost everything is good for three or more..which left us FULL to our stomach! Not complaining though.. ;)

Overall, I would highly recommend this place, especially if it is your first time in Tagaytay, moreover if you are a foreigner visiting the Philippines.

It has a great view, great food, and inside and out...authentic.
Definitely one of the best places to eat in Tagaytay

on a side note: Because of the rain, I decided to stay overnight in Tagaytay. I asked around, and stumbled upon a VERY NICE and hidden hotel in Tagaytay.

Check out: http://8suites.com/ for in my opinion, one of the best hidden hotels in Tagaytay.

Pictures and reviews to follow...

I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. David Gomez who helped me with the accommodations despite being VERY late notice. (try 2am) I highly recommend this place.

It is quiet, away from the crowd, but close enough to the center...and has probably the most AMAZING view.

Perfect for that much needed get a way with your loved one....
