Bono Yaki (soft opening): SKIP IT (Until Further Notice)

Here's Bono Yaki. A new eat all you can smokeless grill restaurant that also serves cooked foods and sushi via buffet style. It's located at Libis across Eastwood City.

First lets talk about the unimportant notes. We went here at about 9PM on a Thursday night. The place was totally empty. This could be due to that its been open for a couple of weeks max but one thing we noticed first is that the parking here is extremely inconvenient. So when we finally discovered where the basement parking was we went up the elevator to reach this place. The place is actually pretty beautiful. Its like the restaurant has an identity crisis. The design resembles that of Chinese fine dining restaurants, even though they could've settled for something less luxurious resulting in a less intimidating atmosphere. The staff was high energy, extremely courteous and helpful something I like in restaurants but not particularly in this type of establishment. The reason is this should be 90% self service and I'm getting at service that is at par with some high-end restaurants. Personally, I felt more tense because I was totally expecting the opposite.

Anyway... onto the food

Uncle Cheffy :@) :@)

2F Eastwood Mall Veranda, Eastwood City
Libis, Quezon City
(02)3837215

So we were around Eastwood city and craved for some pizza. Since I pretty much had enough of Yellowcab Pizza for an entire lifetime we decided to try some other place out. That's how me and my friends landed in Uncle Cheffy. First impressions were good. Personally I liked how the place looked and the staff was pretty hospitable.

Uncle Cheffy gives me sort of a comfy vibe which is great if you want to chill out with friends and have a few beers, or just eat out with your family. This gives it bonus points in the rating system :).

Onto the food then...

For the pizza part we got

East Meets West Panizza P495 ($12)

Pho Hoa :@) :@)

Now there aren't that many Vietnamese restaurants around here in the Philippines and that's a shame. Vietnamese cuisine combines wonderful flavors to make your taste buds salivate for more or for other people just turn you off completely. Its one of them you love it or you hate it types of things I guess.

So Pigout Philippines went to Pho Hoa, (one of the better known Vietnamese restaurants in the Philippines) to try it out.

So we decided to get:

Goi Cuon P95 (2$)
Fresh Spring Roll with Chicken and Shrimp

Causeway :@) :@)

53 E. Rodriguez Ave., Libis

Quezon City, Metro Manila
Philippines
(02) 638-9374 or 75
So you're at home, driving around or whatever then suddenly you start craving for Dimsum. Where do you go? Of course you go to causeway. Why? you might ask well the reason is you'll get dimsum that tastes good, its VERY VERY affordable and its got a pretty good ambiance.
Honestly as a Chinese man this isn't the most authentic dimsum I've tasted here in the Philippines but I can vouch for it in the taste department, its pretty good. The dimsum is flavorful, the dimsum wrappers have a nice consistency and the fillings have just the right amount of moistness and also the right texture. Causeway's food items do taste good as well but there are other Chinese restaurants that can surpass them in that department.
Price as you will see from the products we ordered below is extremely affordable. You should even go at their off peak hours they sell dimsum at a discounted rate.
Overall the restaurant's pretty much the jack of all trades type of thing. Food tastes good, is affordable and is presentable. Sadly though none of them are stellar but being good at everything is definitely a plus for them.

Bean Curd Roll P50 (1$)

Try this out if you love tofu. The flavors are wonderful.

Good Burgers :@) :@)

One of our readers suggested that we try Good Burgers in our shout box and I quote "GOOD BURGER. be happy." So we were eager to try this place out.

It's Mikey again

The branch that we went to is located right across Greenhills shopping center at One Kennedy Place. To be more exact it's right across Tangerine.

Good Burgers unlike most burger joints/kiosks offer only chicken and vegetarian patties for their customers. While I get where they're trying to go with the whole health conscious thing, its a burger not exactly your healthiest option. They do however carve a significant niche with the vegetarian(not vegan) public.

Kowloon West :@) :@)

Kowloon West
Kowloon West has several branches in metro manila (San Juan, Libis, Greenbelt, West Ave.)
The one I went to is in Libis, its across Eastwood city, near Jolibee. If you want info. on the location of the others, just post a comment, and ill do my best to help you out.
If you are anything like me, then I'm pretty sure, u make a habit of late night escapades in search for a place to pigout and have a late night snack.

Kowloon West has been around for ages. This place is well known for its cheap Chinese Dimsum and Mami's...okay fine, they're just known for their siopao. (the rest aren't really the best tasting, in fact, im not even going to put a review on them)

But nevertheless, its definitely value for your money, and the siopao is to die for!!!
