Hits and Misses...
So one lazy Sunday my friend texted me that he wanted to go hangout and eat. He had a craving for pasta and he loves bannaple so that's where we ended up.
Mango Milkshake SKIP IT
It's horrible beyond belief. I barely got a taste of mango and the milk tasted off. Not like the milk was spoiled, but more of it tasted weird. It felt like either they did not wash the blender that's why I got some other fruity flavor or their milk of choice was just plain bad.
Lasagna Roll-ups P170 :@) :@) :@) ($3.75)
Personally I love this. Lasagna's one of my favorite pasta dishes and this is a nice play on it. The sauce is pretty good and has good flavor. The bechamel is amazing, t's spread across the whole roll and the flavors are wonderful. Overall its a nicely balanced dish, the pasta's decent and both sauces are pretty good, definitely a must try for pasta lovers.
Banapple has a few problems that come to with it which made me struggle with how to rate this place. Their sequence of service is horrible, since it's a cashier based system where you have to order from the cashier. The problem here is that their spaces especially those in the katipunan area are small and having a huge line just makes the place a lot tighter. They're supposed to be a cafe, and being stressed because of the lack of space doesn't exactly cater to the people that go to cafes. Their cakes and pastries also range from forgettable to good, even though they're supposed to specialize in these things. The food though is great and makes you come back for more.
