Lola Idang's Original Pancit Malabon
116 Katipunan Rd., White Plains
Quezon City, Metro Manila
"Tapsilog...Palabok...Crispy Pata...at iba pa! "
It was one of those rainy Friday nights, where traffic in White Plains really gets to you. As such, me and my friends decided to let the traffic subside, and have an early dinner while waiting.
So then, we ended up in an old favorite....
with several goodies to choose from...
isang yema po...
For the non-filipino readers, Yema is a sweet dessert made from a concoction of milk and egg yolks. This desert is among my favorite in this country. YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY IT!!!!! ITS THE GREATEST!
dont believe me? Look at what happened to the box of Yema
all gone...in just 5 min.
Now on to the main course....(yes I know...desert should come AFTER the main course...thats how much i like it.. :@) )
Tapsilog :@) :@)
Among the top sellers is their Tapsilog.
Beef tips cured in soy sauce and vinegar (depending on version) served with Crisy Filipino styled Fried Egg, and Garlic Fried Rice.
It was quite good for the price, though not the best tapa around town.
Pancit Palabok :@) :@) :@)
THE BEST MENU ITEM IN THIS PLACE!!!!
Pancit Palabok is rice noodles on shrimp sauce, topped with pork cracklings, steamed shrimp, and boiled egg.
This is one of my favorite Filipino food, and Lola Idang's happen to serve one of the BEST Pancit Palabok in the Philippines.
The rice is VERY chewy, the shrimp sauce adds a strong tasty flavor, and the crunchy pork cracklings are my favorite part.
order by any of these sizes...
Overall, Lola Idangs remain one of my favorite cheap filipino eateries in the Philippines.
It has the BEST palabok, cheap food, and Yummy Yema....
Other recommended items are: Crispy Pata and Kare Kare.....though I will leave that to another post....
Happy Pigout! :@)
