Uncle Cheffy :@) :@)

So we were around Eastwood city and craved for some pizza. Since I pretty much had enough of Yellowcab Pizza for an entire lifetime we decided to try some other place out. That's how me and my friends landed in Uncle Cheffy. First impressions were good. Personally I liked how the place looked and the staff was pretty hospitable.

Uncle Cheffy gives me sort of a comfy vibe which is great if you want to chill out with friends and have a few beers, or just eat out with your family. This gives it bonus points in the rating system :).

Onto the food then...

For the pizza part we got

East Meets West Panizza P495 ($12)

So first, what is a panizza? It's basically a flat pizza where you place in tomatoes, lettuce, alfalfa sprouts etc. on the middle of a pizza slice, you then roll up the pizza slice and eat.

Our selection used combined western and eastern ingredients to make the pizza base as the name of it suggested. It had tomatoes, parma ham, salami, three cheese for the west part and kesong puti(local goats cheese), salted egg, mango as part of the eastern flavor.

The flavors worked great together. Just the right amount of saltiness to go with the right amount of sweetness from the mango. I wouldn't hesitate to order this again.

Uncle Cheffy Steak P1,950 ($42) Good for 4-5 people

As you can probably tell by the picture the steak was a bit dry. It's sort of a Filipino thing where we like our dishes overdone because popular belief was red = raw. This leads to steak failure, no moisture, pretty tough and aesthetically unappealing. This made me sad as it also came with a hefty price tag. Could've been an off day at the grilling station but as of now we'd suggest that you not try that part of the menu from our experience

Uncle Cheffy Fried Rice
Fried rice served with dilis(anchovys) and herbs. A nice twist to fried rice, but nothing mind blowing either.

Overall, I like the place because they have good panizza, great service and has a comfy atmosphere. If the steak would've been great I would've given it 3 pigs in a heartbeat but we can't have everything I guess.

I loved Uncle Cheefy! When we ordered the steak it was soooo delicious. I'm not sure why yours was unsatisfactory, though. By the way, love your blog!
